Alexia presented Generative AI architectures and mechanisms at the GenAI winter school

This month, the VU organised a two-week winter school centred on the responsible use of Generative AI in academia. Researchers from various countries and disciplines gathered to learn about the ways in which they can integrate GenAI to their research, while retaining ownership and responsibility of their work and its impact. Alexia contributed to this programme with a lecture explaining the architectures and mechanisms at the core of GenAI. Furthermore, she supported participants during the project phase, in which they applied and integrated what they had learned to their own research field. The winter school ended with pitches of their projects, discussions, and a lot of positive and enthusiastic feedback for the first edition of this winter school.
