Marcos Oliveira has been awarded a VU Startpremie, a grant supporting international scientific talent at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He will use the funding to study how students interact and form networks in academic and social settings, and how these processes can unintentionally lead to inequality. The project lays the groundwork for larger initiatives aimed at strengthening inclusion, social safety, and student well-being at VU Amsterdam and beyond.
